Pteros means Creatures, Cryptid means as imagined by generative AI, using Marc's special prompts.

One of Marc's references is to the Voynich Manuscript, a mysterious, medieval document whose meaning has not yet been understood.

Named for a Polish book dealer who bought it in 1912, the Voynich's pages feature fantastical illustrations and diagrams, some crudely colored, with sections of the manuscript showing people, unidentified plants and astrological symbols.
